Cookie policy for the United States

Draft text pending legal review before final publication. This policy explains what cookies are, which types the U.S. version of the PACOWEB S.A.S. website uses, what they are used for, and how you can control them. You may opt out of cross-context behavioral advertising through the “Your Privacy Choices” link or with a Global Privacy Control signal, and you may also block or delete cookies in your browser.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small files that a website stores in your browser to remember information about your visit, such as your preferences or the pages you viewed. Similar technologies, such as pixels or local storage, serve similar functions and are governed by this same policy.

2. Who is responsible

PACOWEB S.A.S., NIT (Colombian tax ID) 901148017-1, Carrera 26 # 51-84, Oficina 201, Galerías neighborhood, Bogotá, Colombia. Email: info@pacoweblatam.com.

3. Necessary cookies

These allow the site to function: loading pages, remembering your choice in the cookie notice and in “Your Privacy Choices,” and protecting forms against automated submissions. They cannot be disabled from the site, but you can disable them in your browser, although some features may stop working.

4. Analytics cookies

We use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google, to learn how many people visit the site, what type of device they use, and which pages they read. We use this information to improve our content. The data is processed in aggregate form.

5. Advertising cookies

These are not currently active. If they are enabled, the site may use cookies or pixels from Google (Google Ads) and Meta (Facebook and Instagram) to measure the results of our campaigns and show ads to people who have already visited the site. Under certain state laws, this use may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

6. Third-party cookies

Some cookies are placed by third-party providers, such as Google or Meta, which handle them under their own privacy policies. PACOWEB does not control those cookies.

7. How to opt out

  • Your Privacy Choices: you will find this link in the site footer. From there, you can opt out of the sale or sharing of your information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If you do, we will not load advertising cookies or pixels in that browser.
  • Global Privacy Control (GPC): if your browser or extension sends this signal, we automatically honor it as an opt-out request, with no further action required on your part.

Your choice is stored in your browser. If you clear your cookies or use a different browser or device, you will need to indicate it again, unless you use GPC.

8. How to disable them in your browser

You can view, block, or delete cookies in your browser settings:

  • Chrome: Settings, Privacy and security, Third-party cookies.
  • Firefox: Settings, Privacy and Security, Cookies and Site Data.
  • Safari: Settings, Privacy, Manage Website Data.
  • Edge: Settings, Cookies and site permissions.

You can also use private browsing or the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

9. Relationship to the privacy policy

The information collected by cookies may be personal information. How it is used, your rights under the CCPA and other state laws, and how to exercise them are explained in our privacy policy.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy if we change the tools the site uses, for example, if we enable advertising cookies. The current version is the one posted on this page.

Your privacy choices

Choose which cookies you allow. Necessary cookies are always on because the site can’t work without them.
